As part of our long-term strategy to strengthen and evolve our provision for families, Walhampton Nursery will move to a year-round model from January 2027, operating for 48 weeks of the year for pre-school children aged two to four.
This development reflects the changing needs of modern families, building on the strength of our existing Early Years provision and the success of our holiday childcare programmes. It forms part of our wider strategic vision for Walhampton, ensuring that we continue to provide a distinctive and outstanding educational experience whilst adapting to the needs of the families we serve.
Importantly, while the structure of our provision is evolving, the heart of Walhampton remains unchanged. Our Nursery will continue to be defined by the nurturing relationships, exceptional care, outstanding outdoor learning and child-centred approach which makes it such a special place for young children to begin their educational journey.
Our new model will allow us to support families more effectively, strengthen the beginning of the Walhampton journey and ensure that our Early Years provision continues to thrive for many years to come. The transition will begin during the Autumn Term of 2026 as we refine the model and work closely with both current and prospective families.
