In November, Walhampton was awarded the Whole-School Environmental Culture Award in the 2025 Roots & Shoots Awards. The award recognised our collective commitment to sustainability, environmental resonsibility and positive change across the whole school community. The judges commented that they were deeply impressed by Walhampton pupils' creativity, teamwork and the impact of their projects. We couldn't be prouder!

Walhampton has had a long standing relationship with the Roots & Shoots community and we continue to reflect on the legacty left by Dr, Jane Goodall. As we enter 2026 we will continue to develop our eco and sustainability mission.

The Award came with a £200 prize which our team of committed Eco-Reps have decided to put towards installing a water pump. The aim is to capture waste waterfrom our outside sinks and use it to water our vegetable garden.
