Wednesday 11th March saw over 400 runners from 14 local schools take part in the 46th annual Perry Dalziell Cross Country hosted here at Walhampton. A long standing cross country tradition which started in 1980. Runners from Years 4, 5 and 6 took part in the U9, U10 and U11 age categories, running a distance of 1 mile or 1.4 miles dependent on age. It was a blue sky and sunshine afternoon as the children ran around the Walhampton woodland but there was still plenty of cross-country mud out on the paths!
Podium winners came from a variety of local schools with first places in each category going to Park School, Orchard Juniors, Marchwood, Hordle Primary and Ballard.
