Saturday 4th July saw the Walhampton community come together for our 2026 Founders' Day. A remarkable celebration of the 2025/26 academic year and especially poignant as we bid farewell to our Year 8 leavers.
We were joined by Gavin Horgan, Headmaster at Millfield School, who spoke passionately about teamwork, exploration and taking time out in the wilderness. Gavin also presented our 2026 prizes to children from Year 3 - 8. Our Head Boy and Girl took to the stage to share their final farewell and Jonny Timms was delighted to announce our new Heads of School team for the upcoming academic year.
The speeches were interspersed with singing, poetry, drama and even a suprise reappearance from Bradfield Bear! Following picnic lunches, the day culminated with the grand finale of the interhouse tug-of-war.
