“When your children dance around the room for joy as you tell them they get to go back to school, it shows there is something very special about the place.”
In line with Government recommendations, all our pupils will be in school for the Autumn term.
Walhampton’s aim is to get as close to normal as we possibly can, whilst ensuring that essential safety measures are in place.
The overarching principle is for us to maintain the delivery of a broad curriculum while reducing the contact between pupils, staff and parents. We are achieving this by making full use of our extensive grounds, and by keeping pupils in separate groups - they will remain in independent ‘bubbles’ for year groups. The Headmaster gave more details about plans for the Autumn term in this blog post.
Walhampton is also fully committed to the Boarding Schools’ Association (BSA) “COVID-safe charter”. This is an extensive checklist for us to ensure that throughout our boarding provision we are doing everything to the highest possible standards to keep our community safe. Full details of the charter can be found here.
We will continue to watch the Government’s guidance carefully. There may be further changes before, and during, the autumn term.
The information below provides more details about how we are delivering a full and varied education, whilst ensuring we have robust safety measures in place.
