Our new netball and tennis courts are now open!

Titus Mills opening Walhampton Netball Courts

Walhampton welcomed the England U19 Goal Shooter, Elsa Wakeman, to cut the ribbon and officially open our new £100,000 courts. The ceremony began with a real sense of occasion as Mr Mills delivered some inspiring words about Walhampton’s commitment to girls’ sport. All the staff, pupils, some Governors, VIP guests and local netball club members came to the ceremony. It was a fabulous afternoon.

Julie Osborne, lead coach and lecturer of Brockenhurst College Netball Academy, brought her students along to give an excellent  and fast-paced demonstration of match play on the courts. This was immediately followed by the Brockenhurst students leading a coaching session for our Year 6, 7 and 8 girls.  The girls had a wonderful afternoon of coaching and we hope they are inspired by this experience.
