Tatler School Guide Review of Walhampton Prep School
Here is the review of Walhampton Prep School below, as found in the new Tatler Schools Guide 2017:
"Head Titus Mills is academically aspirational for his pupils (scholarships to Bryanston, Eton, St Swithun's last year), but it's all done very gently in this lovely New Forest setting.
Sport is big and, with the Solent on their doorstep, this lot are particularly hot on sailing - the U11 won the IAPS national regatta. We love the sound of the 'live nativity' (pigs, sheep, geese and Wise Men on quad bikes); the arts-and-crafts club, which meets at Mrs Mills's kitchen table; the new dorms with bespoke bunk-bed cabins; and the campfires in the grounds.
'My daughter has made some fabulous friends, and the pastoral-care and tutor systems are really strong,' says one mother. It's mainly a day school, but London boarders can travel home each weekend on the escorted Walhampton Express - tea made by the school chef; homework supervised by a member of staff."
